Kashmir issue is one of the most sensitive issues between India and Pakistan. Both the nations have their own perspective over the region and the debate over the same seems like it will never end. Pakistan’s veteran cricketer, Shahid Afridi, who has a fair share of fan following in India as well is being slammed on social media by Indians for talking insensitively about the Kashmir issue in one of his recent tweets. Afridi requested the UN to intervene in the matter of Kashmir as he feels that Indian Army is responsible for the bloodshed of the innocents in the controversial state.
On April 1, 2018, 12 terrorists were killed in the Valley in one of the biggest security operations in recent history. The operations were conducted over the weekend in three separate locations in the Valley. 12 terrorists were killed while one was captured alive. Four civilians lost their lives because of stone pelting and three jawans martyred in the gun battle with terrorists.
This is being considered as one of the biggest counter-offensives against terror groups operating in Kashmir Valley. The operations have given a major dent to the terror groups like Hizbul Mujahideen and the Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Calling the terrorist innocent and accusing India of their bloodshed, Afridi asked the UN to intervene. Here’s what he tweeted:

Even cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan, too, tweeted against the crackdown on terror groups.
Strongly condemn the brutality of Indian forces against innocent Kashmiris and the killing of unarmed civilians in IOK. The people of Pak stand with the Kashmiris democratic struggle for self determination. The UNSC must act against Indian aggression in IOK.

Slamming Afridi, Gautam Gambhir posted a brutally honest tweet stating that it is OUR Kashmir and Afridi is celebrating a dismissal off a no- ball!!!
