The Commonwealth Games 2018 are taking place in Gold Coast, Australia and our players is making the country proud. On April 11, Indian shooter Shreyasi Singh increased India’s medal tally at the 2018 Commonwealth Games to 23, shooting her way to a career-best gold in the women’s double trap final. Her successful performance thus gave India its second medal of the day, following the bronze won by shooter Om Mitharval in the 50m pistol men’s finals. Splendid performances by women’s shooting team, women’s badminton team and the men’s table-tennis team to make the country proud.
On the other hand, Pakistani contingent has given a flop show at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018. With Najma Parveen coming last in 200 meter race and Palwasha Bashewer and Muran Ali losing their respective badminton matches, the county might have lost all hopes at the games.
The Pakistan Hockey team has also been knocked out the semi-final of the hockey game at the Commonwealth 2018 since the team did not manage to win even a single fixture out of the three matches that the team had played. While they played their match with Wales country and lost to them, the match between India and England ended in draw.
So far the country managed to win 2 bronze medals at this year’s commonwealth games with Talha Talib and Muhammad Nooh Dastgir both winning a bronze each for weightlifting in men’s 62 kg and men’s +105 kg category respectively.
Pakistan’s dismal performance has become the topic of mockery all over the social media, with Twitterati slamming the country by comparing its performance with other countries.

1)Pakistan existed even before India
2)Kashmir belongs to Pakistan
3)Pakistan won 1965, 1971, 1999 wars
4)CPEC will make Pakistan ‘economic leader’
5)PSL>>>IPLIf “being fool” was a sport, Pakistan would be an outright winner.#CWG2018

Surprisingly, Bangladesh is at number on 24 after Abdullah Hel Baki won two silver medals in shooting for the country.
We wish all the teams all the very best for the upcoming game events.
