TV actress, host and former VJ, Shruti Seth, is a known face who rose to fame with her role in ‘Shararat‘ and received widespread recognition and praise from people as Fatima “Fatty” in the movie ‘Fanaa‘ (2006) in which she starred with Aamir and Kajol. Since then, she’s a happily married woman who got hitched with film director Danish Aslam in 2010 and they have a beautiful daughter called Alina.
She’s quite vocal on Twitter when it comes to criticism. In 2015, she was severely trolled when she commented in critique of Prime Minister Modi’s #selfiewithdaughtercampaign for women and girls, for which she got even abused on social media.
Also, in one incident, she openly ridiculed Bollywood for not ‘opening up’ about the existing sexual abuse, like Hollywood does, like in the case of producer Harvey Weinstein. Here’s what she tweeted:

In January, she tweeted “it doesn’t matter” where the rape happens, when it took place in Moradabad, a Muslim area. Twitterati didn’t take down her comments well, accusing her of siding with Muslims as she’s married to one. You see the contrast already?
