International television series ‘Game of Thrones’ has its fans scattered not just in America or India but all over the world. Not just the show, but its star cast also has a huge fan following globally. One of the most loved characters of the show is Tyrion Lannister played by Peter Dinklage. Apart from his impeccable acting skills, Peter is also known for his wit and sense of humor. Surprized? Yes, in a small town in India, there is a man who resembles Peter so much that one can easily confuse him with Peter.
A few days ago, Bollywood’s popular director Imtiaz Ali has uploaded a picture with India’s own Peter Dinklage on his Instagram page. Take a look at Imtiaz Ali’s post and also the caption:
This lookalike of Peter Dinklage is Tariq Mir who lives in the north Indian state of Kashmir. He was spotted by Imtiaz Ali while the latter was shooting for a project in the Valley. As the director shared his picture with Peter’s doppelganger, he became a popular personality in no time!
According to media reports, Tariq was spotted by some of Imtiaz’s team members while he was auditioning for the role of a clown for a children’s event. It was only after meeting Imtiaz that Tariq got to know about Peter Dinklage and his international fame!

While Peter is 48-year-old, Tariq is merely 30-year-old. Before he broke the internet for his insane resemblance with Peter, Tariq had already gained a lot of popularity. In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, Tariq revealed how his life had changed drastically after his picture with the director went viral. He said:
“Now, I have become famous. It has given me and other actors in the Valley hope that we can accomplish big things. I recently played Tyrion in a short film and now it is my dream to meet him. I imitate his walk, his style… even his clothes. I feel proud every time I see him on GoT. Tyrion Lannister is an inspiration for every dwarf.”
Talking about his meeting with Imtiaz, Tariq said:
“He is a very nice person and gave me good career advice. May God bless him. I hadn’t met any celebrity before but hope I become a celebrity soon.”
