Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s threat that India will expose Pakistan’s atrocities on the people of Balochistan on the international stage, Islamabad formally invited New Delhi for talks on Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistani foreign secretary Aizaz Chaudhry invited his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar to visit Pakistan for talks on Kashmir dispute.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office issued a press releases stating, “The Foreign Secretary called in the Indian High Commissioner this afternoon (August 15, 2016) and handed over a letter addressed to his Indian counterpart, inviting him to visit Pakistan for talks on Jammu and Kashmir dispute.”

According to the press release, Chaudhary highlighted the need for both India and Pakistan to resolve the dispute according to UNSC resolutions.

Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria had earlier said that Pakistan wants to resolve all outstanding issues with India through dialogue.

It should be noted here that ever since the killing of terrorist Burhan Wani, Pakistan has been repeatedly trying to fester up the recent Kashmir unrest on the international stage by falsely accusing India of committing atrocities on Kashmiris.

Pakistan also observed a black day calling Wani a ‘martyr’. India’s gave a very strong reply to what it called Pakistan’s interference in internal matters by reminding Pakistan of its attempts to “covet the territories of others”.

And for the first time ever in India’s history, a prime minister spoke on the Balochistan matter in an Independence Day speech. Before this, in an all-party meeting, Modi had also reminded Pakistan of the human rights abuses it commits in Balochistan.
