One of the world’s most revered leaders and a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Dalai Lama, said that he consider himself as a son of India.
During an interview, he told:
“Every part of my brain is filled by Indian part. My physique is made up of Indian dal, roti and rice. Mentally, spiritually and physically, I am son of India.”
The Buddhism’s highest spiritual leader said Atal Bihari Vajpayee is one of his great friends.
Recalling the BJP stalwart:
“One of my great friends, Vajpayee, on one occasion I met him and I expressed, he should be in the Opposition Party so that he can express what his real feelings are more freely.”
He also recalled his meeting with Jawaharlal Nehru, saying he had useful, practical advice.

Commenting on Narendra Modi’s success as Prime Minister, he said India has become quite a significant nation.
He said:
“When I met Narendra Modi as the chief minister of Gujarat, he was wonderful. Now after he became Prime Minister, India at international level has become a significant nation.”
He added that Indian youth has great potential to promote peace and they have great practical knowledge.
